People have sent me videos of the shooting that took place in Sligoville in St. Catherine recently. This is a police operation to capture some criminal elements. In my opinion, this is part of a PR strategy to confuse the people of Jamaica by supporters of these criminals. In the video, I heard one man saying, "A whole heap a wi een ya". He then mentioned that two of them were not firing guns. That was part of the trick to fool the police. I will not post the video to promote it. They used the baby to also fool the police. That is my opinion.
Two police officers are dead, and if this is meant to be a public relations video, it is a waste of time. Interestingly, some said a no wi have the gun, but it is alleged that several gang members were in the house.
It is interesting to note that this video was given prominence on TV newscasts tonight. The creator of this video must be proud knowing that the video has made the news and is now gone viral.
The police must not take chances with these terrorists who have no respect for life. Bark Di Trute has made many suggestions to deal with these terrorists. Let me post some of them again.
- Persons suspected of being gang members and terrorists should be required to report to the nearest police station within one month. Failing to report to the police, then a court order should be issued for their immediate arrest and treatment as terrorists.
- Electronic pictures of these terrorists should be distributed nationally.
- Anyone who harbours or protects a terrorist on conviction should get a 30-year sentence.
- Terrorists will be treated as persons who are at war with the state, and they will be treated as terrorists by the state. Failing to report to the police on conviction could result in a sentence of at least 30 years.
- There should be a special prison for terrorists where they work and pay for their upkeep.
- They should not be allowed any visitors.
- Drones should be used to capture these police operations.
