Breaking News From Electoral Office of Jamaica

Glasspole Brown, Director of Elections.

The Director of Elections, Mr. Glasspole Brown, has advised me that they are working to get the pictures and information for the general electioncandidates posted on the EOJ website.

Congratulations to the EOJ for acting on this matter. It could be challenging gettin the information posted before Wednesday. I hope the EOJ can get it posted in time. In the future, we should start working on this the day after nominations close.

PM Meets Up With One Of His Long-Time Mothers On The Campaign Trail

I have received many pictures and videos during this election campaign, but this one is a special one which I have to share with you.

This woman, whom the PM met on the campaign trail, must have some interesting stories about the PM. Stories like when she caught him on her mango tree, memories of the little mawga barefoot boy who now tun Prime Minister. You see how my imagination has gone wild. I would love to talk to this lady. I know she knows some secrets about the PM which she will not share, but I would love to talk to her.

This is a touching video that evokes emotions. Oh yes, we have to remember where we are coming from. The way they hugged each other and the tone of her voice, and the PM's voice tell me there is a big story behind this video.

PM meets a woman who was a mother to him.

Put away the partisan feelings now, and you will feel the emotions coming from this beautifully captured video. I would love that woman to make contact with me at 876 816-5261.

Shocking That EOJ Has Not Published Names and Pictures of 2025 Election Candidates Online!

How can elections be free and fair when, at this point, we cannot get the names of the candidates from the Electoral Office of Jamaica? Why have a website when we cannot go to that site, select a constituency, and see the names and pictures of candidates who are running for a seat in that constituency?

I mentioned in a previous post that the Electoral Office of Jamaica has a responsibility to publish the names, pictures, and constituencies the candidates are seeking to represent. Failure to do so is thwarting the democratic process. The people must know who the persons are who have been nominated for the various constituencies. When the EOJ does not publish the information, we are forced to purchase the Gleaner. Many voters cannot afford to purchase the Sunday Gleaner.

The Gleaner has published the pictures, the names of the candidates, and the constituencies that they are seeking to represent. Some pictures are missing, and parts of some pictures are also missing. What a life. When will we ever get it right?

Let me remind you all that the date of the general election is September 3, and not September 3rd. Note also that all the officials have been advised of the concerns of the voters, and there have been no responses so far. Who cares? I need to have Jamaica For Justice help me to get the authorities to act.

Please add your comments at the end of the blog. Your comments will make a difference.

The Final Political Meetings

A sea of red.

A sea of green.

Both political parties had a significant number of people watching online. The rallies were broadcast on CVM, TVJ, and other media outlets. The following screen captures were done at 2222 EST.

Based on feedback from persons, the PNP crowd was not impressive, but the JLP had a packed Spanish Town Square. We must understand that the feedback will depend on a person's political perspective, and therefore, if you were at the meetings, I would like to hear from you.

I predict that the turnout on general election day on Wednesday, September 3, will exceed that of previous years.

The Don Anderson Poll and the Blue Dot polls are poles apart as far as the standings of the political parties are concerned. Don Anderson is showing the PNP way ahead, while the Blue Dot Pole is showing the JLP way ahead of the PNP. Is it that the Andrew Holness pull has increased its momentum in the pass few days?

I would suggest that our pollsters take polls by telephone. There might be drawbacks. I feel that we can get real time and more accurate responses from persons being polled by phone.
