GRATITUDE IS A MUST.. Vernon Derby

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude, Vernon Derby, for the immense exposure you've generously provided to my stories through your blogs. Your willingness to share and your encouragement have been instrumental in fueling my passion for writing. Despite my occasional musings about diving into TikTok, I find more comfort in the written word, as it allows me to articulate my thoughts with greater clarity through my fingertips.

The feedback I receive when I share my stories on your blog and Facebook reaffirms that there's still a thriving audience for literature. Interestingly, much of this feedback comes from individuals outside the immediate circles where you have posted. This observation prompts reflection on the evolving dynamics of communication in today's social media landscape. It raises questions about whether some overlook the significance of digital platforms in fostering connectivity or perhaps doubt the extent of your blog's reach.

Additionally, there exists a subset of individuals, entrenched in intellectual elitism, who may underestimate the value of your platform if it doesn't echo within their specific circles. I've encountered similar challenges throughout my life, contending with the need to assert my presence or sometimes opting to remain in the shadows to avoid prejudice against my identity as a marginalized voice.

Our association, cultivated over the years through the entertainment industry and notably through my affiliation with Tastee Limited, adds depth to my appreciation for your support. Once again, thank you for the exposure, and rest assured, I'm committed to sharing my stories and hope they continue to find a home on your blog. The engagement and feedback I receive within my various groups serve as a demonstration of the resonance of these narratives.

Your advocacy for the marginalized and voiceless is commendable, Vernon. I do not doubt that your dedication will eventually be rewarded. The tide will turn, and your contributions will receive the recognition they deserve. Until then, let's continue this journey amplifying voices and fostering dialogue.

We Jamaicans have a tendency to forget to say Thanks. I hear people in the diaspora complaining all the while about Jamaicans calling to ask for money especially and when its sent, they never come back to say Thanks. Lois Grant you show class. Love that picture too.
